For the past 4 years we have asked our community to give back- after Black Friday and Shop Small Saturday and following Cyber Monday. GivingTuesday lands on November 30th this year. We are asking you to consider supporting an amazing local Oskaloosa nonprofit that needs your help.

Each GivingTuesday we raise money for the Oskaloosa Art Center’s youth programming. Last year we set a goal to raise $2000 to make our art classes more accessible to kids and families. You worked your magic and donated enough to help us meet and exceed that goal! Because of you we provided scholarships to deserving students who would not have been able to attend Summer Art Camp or Teen Art Club without them.

This year we are going to stretch a little further to a $3000 goal! We believe we can do it! Donations can be made now or, on Giving Tuesday, November 30 from 8am to 8pm, Meta (formally known as Facebook) is matching $8 million in qualifying donations

Like many, it’s been another really rough year for the arts, but your contribution can make a big positive impact. Whether you donate $5 or $500, every little bit will help us continue in our efforts to provide exceptional fine arts education to every child within our reach.

About GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Join the movement and give – each Tuesday and every day – whether it’s some of your time, a donation, or the power of your voice in your local community.

It’s a simple idea:  whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.

Thank you!
